• Leading the Ideation/Writing - From organising ideas, to taking notes, I spearheaded the creation of the intricate and complex branching narrative behind this detective mystery. I developed character backgrounds and narrative choices that offered branches within the gameplay/ story. As well as puzzles, clues, and evidence that all point towards the bigger picture.

My Key Contribution/ Involvement:

Intrigue was a collaborative project created by a team of four. The story centers around a seasoned detective who takes on what appears to be a routine case: a woman suspects her husband of infidelity. But as the investigation unfolds, the truth proves far more twisted and disturbing.

Beneath the surface lies the tragic story of a wealthy couple who, after years of trying, finally welcomed a newborn into the world—only to discover the child was gravely ill. The mother, overwhelmed by despair, spirals out of control. With the help of her sister, they resort to desperate measures: kidnapping a medical expert in a last-ditch effort to save the child.

When their efforts fail, the sister hatches a sinister plan to cover their tracks—by framing the husband for crimes he didn’t commit. What began as a simple investigation quickly turns into a dark, psychological web of deception, desperation, and betrayal.

About Intrigue At 438:

  • Implementation - I worked closely with the lead programmer on implementing an event based system to trigger each section of the narrative.

  • Dialogue- I wrote the dialogue for each of the characters and organised the recording of each dialogue asset needed. This involved communicating with voice actors, creating the scripts, sourcing the equipment and directing their voice.

Examples of what I've produced for the Project:

Narrative Milanote

Milanote was the collaboration tool we used to organise all of the ideas and elements that went into creating Intrigue at 438.
