SEAN DIXON

CREATIVE DIRECTOR, NARRATIVE WRITER, TEACHING ASSISTANT.

As a Narrative Lead at Serious Point Games, I have hand on experience handling a high creative and technical writing team in the creation of a 2 year long narrative driven murder myster, The Ski Lodge Murder.

MY MAJOR PROJECTS

As the Lead Narrative Writer and Creative Director on The Ski Lodge Murder, I heavily inform the story direction, communicate with other departments, host writer room meetings and interview/mentor work experience and intern members in an international capacity.

Taking on the role of Lead Narrative Writer on this project, I worked with a small group to construct the plot, characters and puzzles for Intrigue at 438. In addition to working within Unity's game engine to help implement the narrative, I also lead the writing/recording of dialogue.

ADDITIONAL PROJECTS IVE WORKED ON

With only 48 hours to create a pixel horror game project, my role was to craft the narrative. I chose to base the story on a well-known children’s fable Little Red Riding Hood and reimagined it with a spooky twist. My goal was to take a familiar fairytale and subvert expectations by infusing it with eerie, unsettling elements that fit the horror theme of the game.

In this 48-hour game jam project, I was in charge of crafting the story, with the team’s core objective being to explore and challenge stereotypes around men's mental health. I developed a narrative that aimed to highlight the internal struggles many men face, particularly the pressure to suppress emotions and appear constantly strong.

For this 3-month solo project, I designed, wrote, and coded a 2D monochromatic walking simulator focused on delivering a minimalist yet emotionally impactful experience. The game tells the eerie story of a boy trapped within his own nightmares, blending surreal environments with subtle narrative cues. While the surface story explored fear and isolation, I wove in deeper philosophical themes—questioning the nature of control, free will, and existence through the means of dialogue and the art style choice.
